The 2015 school year provided so many Phasmatastic activities!
"HAPPY THURSDAY!"
OH how my kids and their general education teachers love Thursdays! My small group prepared so many tasty treats for themselves, friends, and teachers. Every recipe we prepared went along with a character, creature, planet, or species from The Star Wars Saga. The kids loved it! (so did all of the teachers when we delivered treats)

Field Trip! We invited Jim Nusbaum, a member of the Sylvania School board, to cook with us. Next thing we know, we are invited to cook with him at Barry Bagels. YUM! Mr. Nusbaum, (a.k.a Mr. Skittles), took us on a tour, taught us how to make bagels, let us eat the bagels we made, AND let us keep the Barry hats. The boys loved it!
The 4th grade classroom that I team teach in have been discussing what it means to be generous and kind to others. In October, we preformed Random Acts of Kindness. In November, we collected can goods. In December, we had a coin drive to raise money in order to purchase a goat and chickens for families in third world countries. For the next two months we will be working on helping local animal shelters. The kids continue to enjoy learning how to help others and it is wonderful to see them have such enthusiasm toward being kind and helpful!
We had a great 2015! I am looking so forward to our 2016!
