It's no Jedi mind trick, it's just good food!
We were so excited to welcome Mr. Scott Nelson, Sylvania School's Superintendent, as our first guest chef. He helped us scoop ice cream, pour milk, and crush Whoppers. He also helped us deliver and share our malts with some of the teachers. What a great way for us to start our Thursday morning!! |
Follow the Recipe and Eat!We all worked together to scoop, measure and blend. Our classroom sounded like a carpentry class when we tried to crush the Whoppers with rolling pins.

Share with our TeachersI don't know who likes the sharing part of our lesson better, my students or the teachers that get a snack every Thursday!

Recipe ReviewAfter eating and sharing, we used describing words and pictures to complete a graphic organizer. We used words such as creamy, smooth, brown, and cold to describe how the malts tasted.
