We learned about some new characters from The Guardians of The Galaxy today!
My students learned about Nebula and Gamora. I showed them who the sisters were. We talked about what they looked like. We also talked about how in the movie they fight with each other. The students all agreed that fighting was not a good choice! Regardless of which sister is good and which is evil, the Sticky Sister Treats we made today were a huge hit! |

Instruction and follow the recipeWe talked about Nebula and Gamora.
The students listened to me tell them about how the sisters do not agree on who should get The Orb. We also explored their colors! We made two batches of sticky treats. One batch was green and black for Gamora, while the other batch was blue and purple for Nebula. |
Share with Our TeachersWe shared our treats with the teachers in the building. Which Sister Treat would they choose? Francisco offered the teachers Nebula treats. Madison offered them Gamora treats. Aidan kept track of which treat was more popular.

Recipe and math skill reviewWhen we came back to the classroom, we counted the tally marks that Aidan made while we shared our treats. The students then colored a bar graph based on the data that Aidan collected for us. Check back to see our results!
