What is a Dark Aster and what does it have to do with waffles?
The Dark Aster is a ship in The Guardians of the Galaxy.  It is 3 miles long and has a pattern that is somewhat similar to that of a waffle.

Before we began cooking, we reviewed all of the characters in The Guardians of the Galaxy.  My students know their GotG!! Then we graphed our favorite ingredients from the recipe.
