Thumbs up to The Orb Cheese Ball!

We started our lesson off with a short video clip of Peter Quill, AKA Star Lord trying to steal The Orb.
The student's learned a bit about Star Lord, one of the main characters of Guardians of the Galaxy. They also learned about The Orb.

Once we finished watching the clip, I introduced the recipe on the smart board.   The kids were so excited to make this yummy, chocolate dessert.

Today's recipe review involved discussing the shape of The Orb. We talked about how it was round and 3D.  We reviewed the word/term sphere. I used an interactive book designed by Maria Manore Gavin. Click on the image below to get your copy!
